What Resources Can You Provide?

Comment on this post to describe what you can bring to the group.

I'll start..

21 comments:

  1. I can provide help with building any kind of structures that may need to be built and can most likely gain access to tools in the sculpture room.

I have a good friend who owns a company, www.aktenterprises.com , and we might be able to have them make flyers, stickers, shirts for us if we want. (Not sure if it would be for free, I would have to talk with him once the time comes)

I have some skills in 3D modelling and graphic design for when we choose to create our advertising.

I work at Rita's Italian Ice (I work with a bunch of high schoolers, so cool, I know) and I could get Italian Ice donated as a refreshment for the show.

I have friends in bands (I'm sure most of you do as well) if we decide that we want a band to play at our location.

I am able to help in any manual labor or mindless tasks that may need to get done.

  2. David Smith:
I live like 5 minutes from the Tuskawilla place so I can help with any work than needs to be done on the house.

I am a flash programmer and used to be a graphic artist so I am proficient in both Photoshop and Flash. I can help design and build a website for the exhibit.

I have a friend who edits a local magazine so I might be able to see if we can get some publicity that way.

I'll try to think of more stuff... to post

  6. I work in the marketing department at UCF Dining Services and through the catering department I may be able to get wine and/or some food/snacks donated or at reduced costs.
I may be able to support us with a generator if need be.
I am knowledgeable in graphics, but possibly others may be in that major.
I can help with pretty much any tasks that we need done. (paint, clean, fix, build, organize, direct, etc.) I will think of any other resources I can offer.

  7. I own a truck and know someone with a trailer. I can paint walls, and clean. I have a friend that manages a Barnies Coffee, I could look into them either donating wine or coffee for us. I know someone with a copier that we could use. I guess that's it...Julia Dodd

  8. I own a large bed truck and trailer, pro. landscaping equipment (60 inch mower, edger, weedeater, etc.) and can take care of all our landscaping needs, pro. paint sprayer, nail gun, air compressor, and basically any tool or equipment we need to do the job quickly. The one catch is that I live in Melbourne, so if my resources are needed, we have to finish the job in as few trips as possible. So, someone will have to prep. the windows, floors, and light fixtures before my husband and I get there so we can just come in and get started. If we need the grounds to be cleaned up before the show, someone will need to pick up any trash or junk so when we show up we can just get to work on the landscaping. I also have access to a kegorator that we can fill with a local brew with a little cash, as well as a large smoker/BBQ that can cook for 250 people, if for any reason we need food. If I think of anything else I will let you all know- Jasmine Baker

  9. I have tools:
    Miter Saw
    Band Saw
    Nail/Staple gun
    Air compressor
    Various random tools

Both of my roommates have trucks, and they would let me borrow them if I needed, or they would help transport themselves.

I'm pretty good at building things and painting and am 100% down to construct or paint anything. I'm also a spectacular cleaner upper.

I have 24 hour access to the photo lab at UCF.

  11. I am a graphic design major so I can help with flyers, posters, website and different things to advertise our show. Also, i'm not sure how much this would help, but my dad is an architect. I don't know if we will have problems with the house and the condition it's in (I know Julia said the upstairs is bad). My roommates dad works for Sherwin-Williams and can get us a discount on paint.

  12. I can help with any manual labor at needed, and have a modest assortment of hand tools.

My boyfriend is going to school for documentary film, and might be available to film the event if we wanted.

Also, my not-so-little brother is studying to become a chef and has a LOT of banquet experience and might be able to help with either preparing or tending refreshments during the reception.
